Our Team
Our full-time staff is dedicated to providing the highest level of service for our customers. Our Instructors and guides are full-time dive professionals who eat, sleep and breathe cave diving! They are a highly motivated team who enjoys cave diving as their pass time, not only in Mexico, but around the globe. Their vast experience in international cave diving and instruction gives them the unique capability to share with you techniques and procedures that hold up in any cave environment.
Patrick
Patrick is from Austria and is one of the owners of the ProTec Dive Centers . Patrick is a PSAI Instructor Trainer for CCR Cave, DPV, Trimix and Sidemount and holds Instructor Trainer Evaluator Status for certain levels. He is one of the creators of the PSAI CCR Cave class and the codesigner of the XDeep Stealth 2.0.
Kim
Kim was born in Sweden and is one of the owners of the ProTec Dive Centers. He can be found mostly in the Tulum Facility, where he teaches all types of cave diver certifications and various specialties. Kim has lived and worked in Tulum since 2003. His true passion in life is cave exploration.

Rosalba
Rosalba, a Mexican native, and one of the owners of ProTec Dive Centers, is responsible for handling most of the in-house accounting and permit organization for both dive centers. Without Rosalba in our live’s things would be alot harder for sure! Here from the very start for over 18 years.

Toro
Toro was born in Chile and is the General Manager of ProTec Dive Centers. Toro has worked as a cave diving instructor before moving into a management role. He oversees all operations for both our facilities
Elliot
Elliot hails from England, growing up on an island surrounded by water he discovered diving as a child. A pure educator at heart, he finds the most distinguished ways of describing skills and drills to his students.
Jake
Jake is originally from Canada and he’s the youngest member of our team, but don’t let that fool you! His drive and dedication inspires the rest of us to be our at best and perform at the highest level everyday.
Tamara
Born and raised in Quintana Roo, naturally Tamara has grown up in and around the water. The newest member of our team, she has a passion for diving that is infectious.
Alvaro
The man behind the lens! Hailing from Madrid, Alvaro is our professional in-house photographer. You can find examples of his amazing work throughout our social media channels.

Nelson
Nelson is Rosalba’s brother and Tulum’s store manager. `Known and loved for his infectious smile and great attitude, Nelson will always go out of his way to help.

Melqui is our man when it comes to keeping all the tanks full and the compressors and membrane system running. Making sure that the gas is safe.

Carlos is based out of our Playa Del Carmen shop working with his sister, Rosalba, ensuring the shop is running like clockwork.
