ProTec Booking Policy

We strive to make booking easy through quick and reliable communication. We require a deposit via PayPal or wire transfer to book dives or training. 

Our Commitment When We Accept A Deposit

If we do not provide an Instructor for the dates we confirmed, we will refund all deposits, we will refund you the cost of your flights and pay for your hotel. In addition, we will give you the training days at a future date at no cost. 

Individual Diver Training

To reserve your spot in any course or workshop we require a 50% deposit on all training days up to a maximum of $500 USD. Reservations can be made any time, up to two years prior to the start date. This price will vary depending on the level of training you desire and is based on our daily rate. A deposit is required for all divers, and until the deposits are secured, the training days are not reserved or confirmed.

Once we receive your deposit and confirm your reservation, your deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel your reservation 30 days (or more) prior to your start date you will receive a 100% credit  voucher for your deposit, good at any ProTec Dive Center for any goods or services. The voucher is transferrable.

If you cancel the reservation less than 30 days prior to your training date there are no refunds or vouchers for your deposit. 

We DO give 100% credit vouchers for any cancellations made at any time due to “Acts of God” (hurricanes, port closed due to weather, death in the immediate family, hospitalisation).

If the reserved training is stopped, after it has started, by the student for any reason (mental, physical, temperature, environment, sickness, etc.) or by ProTec for any reason, the customer will receive a credit of days not used in the form of a voucher. A minimum of 2 days will be charged and not credited to the voucher. Once training has gone over 2 days, the exact number of days in training will be charged, and the expenses for days used only.

Group Diver Training

When booking group reservations we must receive a 100% deposit for the expected total cost, or a maximum of $1000 USD, prior to training and tours. Your reservation is confirmed once we receive your deposit. Group travel for tours is non-refundable and no credit will be issued. Group travel can be cancelled for weather-related “Acts of God” and deposits will be returned via credit voucher to either the company or the individual divers. No part of the money will be refunded for any reason other than weather. Diver names can change, but the amount of space booked is the responsibility of the group leader/agent/booking company. Cancellations made to group reservations less than 30 days prior to or during a group trip for any reason will be charged at the original rate. There are no credit vouchers for group cancellations (or for individuals in the group).

About the ProTec Credit Voucher

• 100% transferable to other people
• Based on the USD
• 12 month expiration date
• Can be used on retail, online store or at any ProTec facility for training or product  

Completing Your Payment

Whilst a deposit holds your place in the calendar, generally we settle all outstanding payments in house, at either of our locations. Both of our facilities have US card terminals, so if you are paying with a US card there will be no charge for using it overseas. We accept both Visa and MasterCard, Debit/Credit Cards. However, we do not accept American Express. (AMEX)

As well as card, we accept cash payments in the following currencies: MX PESO, USD, EUR. Please note exchange rates will vary day to day. Should you prefer to pay with a bank transfer our desk staff will provide you with all the details in order to complete the transfer.

Lastly, we accept payments through our PayPal. Should you prefer to settle your bill with this method a 5% surcharge will be added.
