Advanced Nitrox Instructor
The Advanced Nitrox Instructor is the entry level course for teaching technical diving through PSAI. Sometimes known as “Intro To Tec” the Advanced Nitrox course is the foundation for deep diving and will give your students the core fundamentals needed to safely progress as a deep technical diver. The objective of this course is to train Nitrox Instructors to teach the benefits, hazards and proper procedures for utilizing EANx 21 up to 100% oxygen for dives not requiring staged decompression. Our in-house Instructor Trainer will guide you through the teaching structures and disciplines needed to begin your technical diving instructor journey.
Instructor Prerequisites
- Must be a current PSAI Open Water Instructor or equivalent.
- Must be qualified as an Oxygen Provider and in Diving First Aid, or complete these qualifications as part of the IQC.
- Must have taught a minimum of three (3) Basic Nitrox Diver Courses.
- Must be qualified as an Advanced EANx Diver (can be completed during the IQC) with proof of a minimum of one hundred fifty (150) logged dives of which at least twenty-five (25) dives were on EANx.
