How long have you been at ProTec?

I started working with PT at the beginning of 2015, first learning aii of the cavern dives and ‘ciassic’ cave dives, then sIowIy began instructor development when I decided that Mexico wouId be home Ionger term.

What’s your favourite thing about working at ProTec?

Probably first, the amazing staff we have and the people we work with. Then the work that we get to do!

What is your most memorable moment in diving?

Lots of good memories! But for cave diving sharing some super fun dives over the summer in Europe with friends. Like reaching the puis four in the Ressel!

What is your favourite dive in Mexico?

Too many! But a recent favourite was down stream Nohoch Na Chich to the HeIIs Gate! So much history, reaIIy cooI seeing expIoration arrows from Chuck Stevens and Erik Huchenson from 1993-1997.

What is your teaching philosophy?

Every student is individual and learns in their own way and own time. It’s our job to manage different learning styles and paces and have students always improve.

Any advice for people wanting to come and train with us?

Check with your instructor about what you want to achieve and make a plan to achieve those goals.

When not diving what do you do for fun?

Diving!! Cooking and eating good food.

If you weren’t a diver, what would your profession be?

Probably go back to teaching in high school students and boring them with stories about cave diving in Mexico.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

ProTec forward base Muyil exploring and guiding from a secret jungle hideout.

If you could have a superpower for one day, what would it be and why?

Being able to teleport. Imagine getting to dive remote cenotes without hour long jungle hikes!
