How long have you been at ProTec?

I am Protec’s new addition to the team. The first time I visited was in 2018, as a local diver and instructor I was impressed! Fast forward to 2021, when I was asked if I’d join the team, there was only one possible answer!

What’s your favourite thing about working at ProTec?

I love to be surrounded by active divers and explorers, the energy as you enter the shop is contagious!

What is your most memorable moment in diving?

Difficult to choose only one but diving the Bravo Crater in the Marshall Islands in 2018 is something I won’t forget. The entire experience was an incredible challenge that had a big influence in who I am today.

What is your favourite dive in Mexico?

Cenote Maravilla in Puerto Morelos, my hometown!

What is your teaching philosophy?

Training is a team job student/instructor.

Any advice for people wanting to come and train with us?

Pick an instructor who does the kind of diving you want to do one day, talk to them, ask questions, and be ready to put in the work.

When not diving what do you do for fun?

I cook, I eat, and take the occasional trip to a Yucatan village for a change of scenery

If you weren’t a diver, what would your profession be?

Wildlife photographer.

Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?

I will be teaching the new generation of young Mexican women how to cave dive!

If you could have a superpower for one day, what would it be and why?

I am Mexican, I already have a superpower!
