Cavern Diver
This course is offered to all certified divers with an interest in diving in the cavern zone, meaning the area of the cave where natural daylight is still visible. This is the starting point and your introduction into the world of diving in an overhead environment. We take this course very seriously, as you will be developing the foundation for a successful cave diving career. We focus on critical skills such as buoyancy, trim and propulsion, as well as safety drills regarding gas sharing, zero visibility drills, proper reel technique, Valve and S drills and more.
The Cavern Diver course takes a minimum of four days and can be taught in single tank configuration. However, we strongly recommend using either backmounted or side mounted double cylinders.
ProTec offers various certification combinations to help you reach your cave diving goals. Check out our cave diver training tracks {link to: Cave Diver Training Track / 7.1} to help you plan your trip.
